Funding supports acquisition of vehicles equipped with private exam bays and secure medication storage compliant with provincial pharmacy regulations.

Workforce plans must demonstrate recruitment pipelines through the Nova Scotia Community College's mobile-clinic training module and retention incentives tied to two-year service commitments in designated rural counties. Infrastructure requirements specify dual power systems for coastal routes where grid outages average 9.4 hours annually.

The province's 2024–2027 primary-care action plan sets a target of 85 percent of residents attached to a regular provider. Mobile units contribute by increasing attachment rates in the 11 counties currently below 70 percent.
